Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 1/4 cups light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat together the peanut butter and butter on medium speed until thoroughly combined.
  4. Slowly add the sugar to the bowl and continue beating until light and creamy.
  5. Turn the mixer to low and add the eggs one at a time, beating to combine after each addition.
  6. Add the vanilla and continue mixing until combined, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  7. With the mixer on low, slowly add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and beat to combine.
  8. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  9. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop 2 tablespoon scoops of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, approximately 2-3 inches apart.
  10. Bake the cookies for about 13-15 minutes, turning the baking sheet halfway through cooking time. For softer cookies, bake for 13 minutes; for crisper cookies, bake for 15 minutes.
  11. Repeat this process with any remaining dough until all cookies are baked.

Notes

Let cookies cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Store in an airtight container.
