Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 1/4 cups light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat together the peanut butter and butter on medium speed until thoroughly combined.
- Slowly add the sugar to the bowl and continue beating until light and creamy.
- Turn the mixer to low and add the eggs one at a time, beating to combine after each addition.
- Add the vanilla and continue mixing until combined, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
- With the mixer on low, slowly add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and beat to combine.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop 2 tablespoon scoops of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, approximately 2-3 inches apart.
- Bake the cookies for about 13-15 minutes, turning the baking sheet halfway through cooking time. For softer cookies, bake for 13 minutes; for crisper cookies, bake for 15 minutes.
- Repeat this process with any remaining dough until all cookies are baked.
