Moist, fluffy, and loaded with melty chocolate chips—this banana bread is a fan favorite and incredibly easy to make!

Ingredients

4 overripe bananas

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 large eggs, room temperature

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp kosher salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan and set aside.

  • In a small bowl, mash the bananas thoroughly.

  • In a large bowl, cream together butter and both sugars using a hand mixer for 2–3 minutes until fluffy.

  • Add in the eggs, mashed bananas, and vanilla. Mix well.

  • Sift in flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Fold in gently until just combined.

  • Fold in 3/4 cup of the chocolate chips.

  • Pour batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top.

  • Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

  • Let cool for at least 20 minutes before slicing and serving.
