Delicious cheeseburger egg rolls filled with seasoned beef and cheese

Cheeseburger Egg Rolls

A fun twist on the classic hamburger, these cheeseburger egg rolls combine delicious flavors in a crunchy wrapper, perfect for parties or a quick dinner.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1215 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for sealing)
  • Vegetable oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef and chopped onion together, breaking up the meat as it cooks. Drain any excess fat from the pan.
  2. Stir in the cheddar cheese, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook until the cheese is completely melted and incorporated. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Place about 2 tablespoons of the filling in the center of each egg roll wrapper. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, fold in the sides, and then roll tightly toward the top corner. Seal the edge with beaten egg.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large, deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Carefully place egg rolls in the hot oil, a few at a time to avoid overcrowding. Fry for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy all around.
  6. Remove egg rolls with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

For added flavor, experiment with different toppings like pickles or bacon bits. If baking, brush with oil and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes.
