Burrata Bruschetta with Basil

A delightful appetizer combining creamy burrata cheese with fresh tomatoes and fragrant basil.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Bread slices (such as sourdough or baguette)
  • Burrata cheese or ricotta as an alternative
  • Cherry tomatoes, halved
  • Fresh basil, chopped or whole leaves
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Balsamic glaze (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brush slices of bread with olive oil and toast until golden and crispy.
  2. In a bowl, mix halved cherry tomatoes, chopped basil, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Spread burrata cheese over the toasted bread, then add the tomato mixture on top.
  4. Drizzle with additional olive oil and balsamic glaze if desired. Garnish with extra basil and red pepper flakes.

Notes

Use day-old bread for better toasting. Choose ripe cherry tomatoes for maximum flavor.
